Estate Of Ord

“Impressive building, lovely staff, we wish you good luck with the ongoing project.”

The property’s location is great, and the staff were all lovely. Breakfast and the evening meal were plentiful and delicious, and the dining room was cheerful with a view of a lovely garden. It still feels a bit under development; some aspects are tired. The mattress sagged on one side, and there was only one curtain on the windows, not a pair, so light kept leaking in during the night.

Estate of Ord was like a fairytale! The surrounding area and gardens were amazing, especially the cute fairy garden. The old‑cottage style vibes were very clean, and I super recommend it. Nothing to add.

“Highland Splendour”

The house and grounds are fabulous, with large bedrooms, a cosy bar and restaurant, wonderful staff, and a charming owner. Nothing else to mention.

“Wonderful stay in the Highlands - great food, lodging, and hospitality.”

The staff and owner were top notch. The room and bathroom were newly refinished and immaculate. The grounds were unbelievably beautiful, and the restaurant was exceptional—best squash risotto I’ve ever had. They even had a spa, which we didn’t use. We had to leave after staying at seven different hotels, and this was hands down the best.

“This is a venue with enormous potential, but it’s not quite there, so we’d call it adequate.”

The building is charming and the location is fine, with a pleasant bedroom. It feels a bit expensive for what we experienced, but it could become excellent. It still feels like a work in progress. The food was indifferent, and the service was similar—there was a charming, helpful young waitress who knew little about the menu and nothing about the drinks, so she couldn’t advise. The evening menu was limited and unadventurous, but breakfast was excellent. The public rooms were great and the bedroom was good, but the bathroom was poorly lit and the water pressure was unacceptably low for the shower.
