The staff were friendly at check‑in, the beds were comfortable, and breakfast was good. Trash cans were in the common area. The floors were absolutely filthy, greasy, and after two dirty pairs of socks we had to wear shoes all the time. Being listed as dog‑friendly is misleading unless your dog uses potty pads or doesn’t mind getting stickers or grass burrs on its paws each time you walk it; we searched the entire grassy area for a sticker‑free zone and found none. Additionally, a guest repeatedly failed to clean up after his two large dogs in an area the staff should have noticed and addressed. Our toilet clogged around 9:00 pm and the front desk said, “I’m sorry, but all I can offer at this time is a plunger.” She brought it from the lobby restroom, wrapped two paper towels around the handle. The grounds and parking lot were littered with trash and old cigarette butts. The coffee creamer that was clearly labeled “refrigerate” was left out all night on the counter. The flap to the breakfast area trash can was disgusting.
