Natur Residenz Anger Alm, an adults‑only retreat in St. Leonhard im Pitztal, sits amid the Pitztal Glacier between Rifflsee and the glacier ski area. Family‑run, it offers free Wi‑Fi, a small sauna, and rooms with en‑suite baths, satellite TV, and private balconies overlooking the Pitztal Mountains. From late June to mid‑October, the Pitztal Summer Card grants complimentary access to cable cars, lifts, buses, lakes, and climbing parks.

They bumped me up to a better room on the fly—no extra charge—and the place was spotless. Breakfast was tasty and generous, so I started the day right. The only thing that could use a tweak is the small size of the room, but overall it was a solid stay.

I arrived and found out there was no dinner service that evening, which was a bit of a let‑down. Other than that, the hotel was fine and the staff were helpful.

The team at Anger Alm are super friendly, and the vibe makes you feel right at home. You can jump straight out for a demanding mountain trek from the hotel, which is a huge plus.
