The place was cheap, but it was packed with Polish guests who were either drunk or loud, and they kept bumping into us women. They also poured beer into the fridge both days we stayed. Obviously the owner isn’t to blame, but when we mentioned that items had disappeared from the fridge the reply was basically “this isn’t a damn hotel, you can’t put anything in the fridge.” Even last year there were a lot of Poles staying at half capacity.

The host was friendly and the countryside location was nice, but the house was worn out and the price was high for the standard. The breakfast was expensive compared to what was actually served.

The owner was pleasant and available around the clock, and the rural surroundings were nice. Some other guests didn’t respect the no‑smoking rule, so the smoke drifted into the room.

It was simple and cheap, and the owner had set up a spot outside with a few stone tiles where you could park your motorcycle. The location was decent if you wanted to head into Halmstad. However, the place left a lot to be desired. We hit the hottest day of the year and there was no fan or AC. The owner who greeted us was initially a bit unfriendly because he didn’t understand we had booked a room, and apparently his wife had mixed up the booking documents, so the reception was a bit odd. Breakfast was the bare minimum: a few slices of bread, cheese, ham, boiled eggs, and some muesli. Everything was very disorganized and there were no vegetables. The steel was old and didn’t feel particularly fancy… but you get what you pay for. It was disappointing that there wasn’t a single nice flower on the front balcony.

The place is charming in Åled <3. It’s old but clean and incredibly affordable. The lovely couple hosts keep everything tidy :) Free coffee is included and cleaning is part of the price, you can check in late and don’t have to leave until 12. There’s fridge space for every guest, a large kitchen with a dining area and a lounge. The place has history and soul, we’ll be back! The only downside is the lighting in the coffee corner is a bit dull, haha. Nothing else comes to mind!
