Mark was welcoming and friendly on arrival and showed us everything during check‑in. This place was perfect for a private, peaceful, relaxing weekend. It’s the ideal spot for exploring York while staying away from the chaos. Getting Ubers and ordering take‑away was easy, and Mark told us which location pin to use for pickup and drop‑off. I couldn’t fault it at all and would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Marc has created a place where you can escape the world; it’s ideal for a relaxing weekend and only a 10‑minute drive from York City Centre.

The private area is lovely, the owner is friendly, and everything you need is on site. I have nothing to complain about, so it’s a sad feeling to leave.

The stay was truly unique and enjoyable. The gardens are gorgeous, feel very private, and the hot tub was perfect for relaxing both on arrival and throughout the stay. York city centre is a less than 10‑minute taxi ride and costs around £6. The shepherds hut is immaculately clean and stocked with milk, water, juice, and all the tools and utensils for cooking and BBQ. The bed was very comfy and cozy, and the shower had great pressure. Host Mark was very helpful before and upon arrival, and he’s available if you need him, otherwise you’re left to enjoy your stay. I highly recommend it and would love to go back.
