I appreciated that it sits on a very quiet street, close to restaurants, cafés, and the charming boutiques of the Ninman area. The manager, Watt, was always kind and attentive, arranging tours and generally offering information and help. The housekeeping service seemed better than in pricier hotels. The bedding was top quality, and I always had plenty of clean towels. Each day they left two half‑liter glass water bottles. The coffee/tea service was available 24 h, with a microwave and dishes. Another perk was Mrs. Mu, who runs a food stall next to the hotel; she served me with genuine joy and delicious local dishes for a dollar and a half. I did miss a closet and shelves for my clothes and stuff, but they lent me a chair that doubled as a luggage rack.
