Oaks Port Douglas Resort

The pancakes, bacon, comfortable beds, and accessible carpark were great. The breakfast lacked variety and more fruit would help; the dinner menu also needed more options. After housekeeping we had no face washers and had to ask for extra toilet paper, but none were ever delivered.

“it was a nice stay, just would have liked an extra bed”

The pool was lovely and the room was nice. I didn't try the breakfast, but the pizzas at the restaurant were good and the resort offered good value for money. I stayed with my husband and 7‑year‑old son. I asked for an extra bed because the room listed only 1 × XL king bed for 3 people, which didn’t really fit us. The receptionist said “yes, there is a couch bed.” The pull‑out couch was made into a bed but it was incredibly uncomfortable with hard springs inside. My son found it too uncomfortable and wanted to share the king bed with me, so my husband slept on the pull‑out couch. He said it was so uncomfortable he couldn’t sleep, so I wouldn’t consider that an extra bed. The king bed itself was comfortable.

“Medt expectations”

The room was clean, spacious, and had a great outlook.

“Great spot, this was our second stay here”

Breakfasts were good and hearty, and the evening meals in the dining area were also good. We had perfect weather for two weeks. Another guest accessed our room with a key, which was a bit of a surprise; however, the staff handled the situation and we had no further intrusions. It was an accident on the part of that guest.

“Fijn hotel, centraal gelegen om naar allerlei activiteiten te gaan in de omgeving.”

The bathroom was spacious and the living room had a balcony. The pool was nice and the service was good. The breakfast buffet was extensive.
