“Very pleasant hotel, choose a lodge at the back, worth the money”
Breakfast was very good in a lovely setting, but the room was very small (No 2) and there was a lot of traffic in the morning.

The location is superb in a beautiful area, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The property itself was lovely, but a horrible smell in our room forced us to open the windows wide to make it tolerable.

The hotel sits quietly in a gorgeous countryside setting, and the food—both breakfast and dinner—was excellent with plenty of options. The restaurant staff were very friendly, though the bathroom felt a bit dated.

Breakfast was okay; I asked for crispy bacon and it seemed ignored as it came the same as my partner’s. The staff’s attitude on the evening of Sunday the 13th and the morning of the 14th was business‑like with no smiles, making us feel like a nuisance; on Monday night and Tuesday morning it was the complete opposite and they were incredibly welcoming.

The bar was lovely, and the bedroom was very comfortable and spacious, yet the food didn't live up to the reviews and felt pretty average for the price.
