It sat close to the camp where my family was staying, was clean, and the staff were very friendly. The scenery was beautiful and the creek walks had salmon spawning. It could use a fresh coat of paint outside.

When I booked last time I specifically asked for the bottom floor because we’re older and climbing stairs to the second floor with luggage is a bit much, so I liked that we ended up on the main floor, which was better for us.

After the 1am Prince Rupert to Port Hardy Ferry, the location was perfect – an 8‑minute drive and easy to find. The office was open for registration. It’s an aging traditional motel that’s slowly improving by painting the rooms. The bed linen was fine and the beds very comfortable. The spot’s nice with a nature walk nearby and it met our needs. It was a bit expensive for the quality, but accommodation is pricey in Port Hardy. We only met the person who checked us in and he was quite taciturn! The decor is very mismatched, worn, and dated.
