“Eine Unterkunft mit viel Verbesserungspotential”
The courtyard lounge with comfy garden furniture and ample parking was great, and the automatic gate system (we were given a button at arrival) kept the parking area secure; the staff greeted us warmly and handed us two bottles of chilled “Naturelle” water, while informing us that a €1 tourism tax per person per night would still be due at departure. The room was spacious and very clean, with a kettle, a Nespresso machine (plus some tea bags and pods), and the furnishings were quite new, even the external blinds were electric. The Wi‑Fi worked flawlessly both in the room and outdoors. The breakfast was the weak spot: on day one the small buffet offered only a few items—some sausage and cheese, a bit of natural yogurt, some cereal, and a 1 L jug of orange juice—plus a thermos of coffee, a basket of baguette slices, and three croissants (chocolate, plain, natural). On day two the setup was similar, but the coffee came from a larger pot and we got a glass of orange juice; yogurt was missing, there was a little more coffee but no orange juice, and some fruit (bananas, apples) appeared on the buffet. Day three mirrored day one, with only one glass of orange juice per guest, and a second cup of coffee was denied with a “NON”. On the final day we were the only breakfast guests, so the small buffet was on our table. The TV in the room was large but offered no German channels, which was disappointing. Regarding the pool, we were told upon arrival in the afternoon that it was closed for inspection; the water was greenish and a hose protruded in the pool. The next day the water was still green but swimming was allowed, though the pool wasn’t heated so the water was cold. It was tolerable for me (a man) and another male guest on a very hot day. The sauna was turned on at my request on the arrival day, but the thermometer never showed over 50 °C, so it wasn’t a real sauna; the staff spoke little German and a bit of English, which was problematic for non‑speakers.
