Located in the Bavarian Spessart Nature Park, Hotel & Restaurant Zum Ochsen -Ox Distillery is a family-run hotel 2 km from Hösbach village. Modern rooms offer free Wi-Fi, free parking, and cable TV, with some featuring balconies. The hotel serves a daily breakfast buffet and regional German cuisine, along with international dishes and homemade schnapps, near the A3 motorway and 10 minutes from Aschaffenburg city centre.

The staff were very friendly and the location is quiet, but the check‑in was later than expected.

The restaurant service was very friendly, attentive, fast, and helpful. We stayed there for one night on our way home from vacation and enjoyed a tasty dinner. Because I couldn’t finish my portion, they packed it for me, stored it overnight in the fridge, so I could take it the next day—great service! The value for money was also very good. However, the TV in the room was too small relative to the room size and the distance to the couch and bed. Breakfast was rather sparse: only one type of wheat roll, no whole‑grain rolls, no boiled eggs were available when we had breakfast. They offered to cook fresh eggs, but that wouldn’t have fit the schedule. Fruit was only apples, no whole grains, seeds, or nuts. There is definitely room for improvement.

The location was super cozy, breakfast was good and plenty, and it’s a top hotel with an excellent restaurant.
