La Maison de Mélou, a recently renovated B&B in Troarn, offers three bedrooms, parquet floors, a fully equipped kitchen, and a dining area. Guests enjoy a sun‑lit terrace, garden views, barbecue and outdoor furniture for alfresco meals. Modern comforts include free Wi‑Fi, streaming services, dishwasher, washing machine, work desk and soundproofing. It lies 11 km from Mondevillage Shopping Centre, 24 km from Caen–Carpiquet Airport, near Caen Station and the Memorial of Caen.

Tasteful décor and a lovely covered terrace! Good mattresses! Great location for trips to the coast or inland. For self‑catering, a large supermarket in town, the restaurant options are limited to a hotel restaurant. The bathroom door cannot be closed or locked – extremely unpleasant! The bathroom also lacks a trash can and a hook for damp towels. No do‑ormats in the entrance area or in front of the terrace door. Internet and TV did not work. No alternative to the neglected Nespresso machine. No instructions for the oven and microwave.
