“Extremely disappointing experience – Safety should come first!”
I would not recommend staying at this hotel. A serious fire erupted immediately behind the hotel (see attached photo), which made us seriously question the safety of guests and staff. Because of that, we decided to leave for our own safety. The owner even told us that we would be better off leaving, yet when we asked for a partial refund the next day, it was denied on the grounds that we had chosen to leave at our own discretion. That response was extremely disappointing and showed a lack of understanding of how serious the situation was. The attached main photo was taken as we reached the bottom of the hill after leaving the hotel, providing context for the situation we faced. What worries me most is the impression that financial concerns were put before the safety and well‑being of guests and staff. In an emergency like this, safety should always come first, and guests should not feel penalised financially for taking reasonable precautions. I strongly recommend reading the other low‑rated reviews before booking; they may give you a clearer idea of what to expect upon arrival. Think carefully before booking this hotel. In my experience, the way this situation was handled was unacceptable.
