The view, the people, the vibe, the energy—all were great, but the room was small and the hostel is located uphill; a pickup service would have made the stay better.

“All you need for a stay and more in Dharamkot”

The staff are very friendly and understanding, and every request we made was met. The rooms are comfortable and well kept, and the location is excellent with quick service. Both the hostel and private rooms are recommended, and the bed is very comfy. The only drawback is that the bathroom heater is small, so hot water runs out early; a larger heater would earn a perfect 10/10.

The view, service, and location were exceptional, but the bathroom wasn’t clean and the pillow covers hadn’t been changed, giving off a slight stink. We called reception and they swapped the covers immediately.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything was exceptionally clean, which we really appreciated. The uphill walk from the main center is actually a plus because, let’s be honest—everything you do in Dharamshala is café‑hopping, so a little walk is great! The views from the hotel are simply breathtaking. The room itself was cozy and comfortable, with a nice wooden parquet floor, a super comfortable bed, and very clean linen. A special shoutout to Karsten and the other two guys on the staff—they were genuinely kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Another huge bonus is that there is an on‑site restaurant, which is wonderful when you just want to relax and don’t feel like going out. Also, as anyone visiting Dharamkot knows, most places aren’t directly accessible by road. However, this hotel is about as close to the road as it gets, meaning you can actually take a taxi all the way to the entrance (just make sure it’s a 4x4 vehicle!)
