The property is very large, well equipped, comfortable, and clean. On the 22nd of September, while we were already in Belgium/Netherlands, we received a message from the owner asking for a security deposit and bedding. I didn’t respond to that message but forwarded it to the host. The day before we arrived, the owner’s mother contacted me and asked if we wanted bedding. No further mention of the €250 refundable deposit was made. We used our own sleeping bags for the two nights at the property; the mother said they could supply duvets if needed, which might have been a miscommunication between mother and son. The mother was very helpful. The host’s message read: “Dear guests, thank you for your reservation! We wish you a pleasant stay here in the Westhoek and at Cosy Hill. Please read the practical arrangements carefully, which you will find on the table. I would also like to inform you of the following: regarding bed and bath linen, this is not included. Please bring your own bed linen. Please note: strictly one fitted sheet, duvet cover, and pillowcase per person. There are three double beds (2x 160/200, 1x 140/200) and the other beds are single (90/200). Each bed is equipped by us with a mattress protector and pillow protector (please leave these on). You also need to bring your own bath and kitchen linen. Furthermore, there is a deposit which we ask you to arrange directly with us in advance: please transfer 250 EUR to our account number (deleted account number for owners security) in the name of (deleted name for owners anonymity). This will be refunded at the end of the week following your stay. Thank you for your understanding and kind regards.”
