Perfect location in the middle of the forest. Excellent culinary experience. The staff Kumana and Mode were very supportive and willing to show forest secrets. Difficult to move around without a vehicle

“Peccato”

The place is truly gorgeous, tucked deep in the jungle with a waterfall and a private natural pool where we could swim. Kumara runs the kitchen and can arrange trekking on request, which added real value; he treated us like family, cooked generous, tasty meals, and was ready for any request—an unforgettable experience. The rooms felt abandoned and dirty; under my son’s bed a mouse had built a nest with a litter, something we noticed after two nights.

“Highly recommended retreat to detox and enjoy jungle life”

Wow, what a fantastic spot. The eco‑friendly cabanas were great, staff were helpful and passionate about the environment, and the food, made from local produce, was lovely. The forest and village walks were excellent.

“The best travel experience we’ve ever had…”

This was by far the best trip we’ve ever had. Into the Woods is a special place we’ll never forget. Kumara’s environmental knowledge and passion taught us a lot; he led us on amazing adventure days that gave us the most authentic Sri Lankan experience of our three‑week trip. We looked forward to every meal he cooked—flavours and fuel for everyday. Both he and Madhen made us feel so comfortable, like home, and we didn’t want to leave. The cabins are basic, but they add to the raw, natural vibe and the feeling of being one with nature. If you want peace, this is the spot!
