“Meh. Good locating , not so good room”

The downtown location is unbeatable, and I liked the art in the bathroom and the penguins, but the bed was comfortable while the pillows were terrible – the two larger pillows were stiff and the two sleeping pillows were awful; one pillow was so soft it flattened in 20 seconds, the other was rock hard. The lighting flickered, bright for five minutes then dimmed for another five, and the bedside lamp on my husband’s side didn’t work, leaving us with little light because there was no overhead lighting. I also disliked that there was no mini‑fridge in the suite, which I expected. Overall, I wouldn’t stay there again and it’s too pricey for what it offers.

I appreciated all the artwork around the hotel, but the rooftop was not available during our visit.

One of the two elevators was out of service, and the hotel was not accessible because there were two steps in the hallway to reach our room, with torn carpet. The room door was scratched, the alarm clock was ripped out of the wall with no cord, and there was no fridge or ice machine in the room – we had to call down to get a bag of ice. The front desk staff were unfriendly, didn’t look up to greet me, and didn’t ask how my stay was when I checked out. I will not stay again.

I had a really nice stay—clean rooms, a great spot, and the hotel itself was pretty cool. The artwork was incredible, making it feel like a museum, and the gym was decent while the spa had a fantastic rooftop patio.

21C is an amazing experience. The overall experience, staff and the location made my stay absolutely awesome
