Everything was perfect: the reception was great, the rooms were excellent, the service was essential and the breakfast coffee was superb. I’d come back many times.

I was mainly impressed by the polite and attentive staff, but the shower’s water jet was weak.

The only positive was the convenient location near Praia dos Anjos. The lodge was filthy and poorly maintained; the pool was dirty, the bathroom had mold that made showering uncomfortable, the flush barely worked, the bed was “patched”, and the room ventilation was awful. The owner released the room at check‑in, and the “wave” of questionable effects was off‑limits, so we were nowhere near comfortable. He even argued with my mother in front of other guests, and we were disgusted by how dirty the café area was.

Everything was perfect—clean, staff were courteous and friendly. The only annoyance was that the dogs that stay at the lodge are usually loose and bark at anyone who enters, but aside from that, a perfect score.
