The location and concept were solid, but the food was disappointing, there were many small repairs needed—like exposed nails that were trip hazards—and the staff spent the day sunning in the lagoon instead of working; the prices for food and drinks were too high.

The remote setting among wilderness and ocean was perfect, the staff were very friendly and always ready to help, but the lagoon could use a shared area or a floating pontoon with shade to make swimming enjoyable any time of day.

We came for fishing and caught only tiny fish because of the February monsoon; KIKI resort staff were friendly and the bar folks helped us fish and unhook fish, and the resort offered a hermit crab walk as a nice break when there was nothing else to do. The room was moldy and when we asked for a change, every other room was moldy too; the resort gave us a WhatsApp number to contact them, and when we requested a hairdryer it took an hour to arrive. Food and drinks were limited on the island, no heavy outside food was allowed, and there was nothing much to eat or do. We’d have liked a convenience store for snacks, drinks, ice cream, or instant noodles. It felt like we were trapped with nothing to do or eat. The room had no TV, so it was best for those who want a little isolation. We stayed in the sea‑view hotel, a 15‑minute walk to the restaurant, which was the only one on the resort and had super slow service; the food standards were poor, breakfast choices were limited, and portions were small. When we ran out of food, the staff cooked bacon and an omelette for us.
