It’s a nice spot right in the middle of Gulshan, close to a good restaurant and easy to leave the city. I don’t have any other comments.

“A home away from home — right in the heart of Dhaka!”

We recently stayed at the Platinum Grand in Banani and I can’t recommend it enough. The hotel sits right in the heart of Banani’s lively streets, and the location alone is a huge draw, but everything else made the stay truly special. The area is unbeatable—restaurants, cafés, and shops surround you in every direction. I made a daily habit of walking to Aarong, a beautiful Bangladeshi lifestyle and clothing store just a 10‑minute walk away (or a breezy 3‑minute rickshaw ride if you prefer), and I could have shopped there every day. Food options are endless: Burger King directly opposite the hotel, KFC, Herfy, Koi The, Kavazo, Peyala, and more, so you’ll never be stuck for choice whether you want a quick bite or a leisurely meal. From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely outstanding—warm, attentive, and wonderfully fluent in English, which was a lifesaver for my children who don’t speak any. We used every amenity the hotel offered—rooftop pool, gym, sauna, and laundry service (returned the same day). Every facility was immaculate, and service throughout our stay was prompt and efficient. The breakfast spread kept the whole family happy morning after morning, a small feat! A particular highlight for families traveling with children: the hotel offers a meet‑and‑greet at the airport with dedicated protocol handling, making arrival in Dhaka completely stress‑free. That kind of thoughtful, end‑to‑end service sets Platinum Grand apart. Prices were fair, rooms spotless, and the entire experience felt genuinely welcoming. This will absolutely be our base every time we visit Dhaka. The reception and entrance were under renovation during our stay, but that’s nothing for future guests to worry about. By the time we left, everything was coming together beautifully, and the finished result looks set to be stunning. Anyone visiting now will simply enjoy the upgrade. We can’t wait to return and see it in all its glory!

This hotel's got a lot going for it - the location's really convenient, the breakfast is solid, and the staff are super friendly.

I had a really great experience here, the staff were super friendly and the location is amazing. The rooms are clean and comfy, but I did notice that rooms facing the road can get a bit noisy. Also, I was a bit surprised there wasn't a smoking area or coffee lounge, but overall it was a great stay.
