“Prima verblijf”
The staff are friendly and helpful, and in the evenings they take you out for sunset. Someone who speaks a bit more English would be useful at the location, but it’s still manageable.

The host is a respectable man, the place is safe inside, and the staff are polite; the venue is modest and great for those who love solitude and nature, especially for walking and enjoying the scenery. It’s about 300 m from the Danak Conservation Area, which offers a wonderful mountain view. The site sits at the foot of a mountain; the nearest village, Biser, is roughly 4.6 km away, so services are distant. There are no air‑conditioned rooms because the place is naturally cold, and some rooms are below while others are above, requiring a ladder. To get supplies like food or drinks, you’ll need a car; if you don’t have one, you’ll have to plan accordingly.

Special thanks to Mora for her kindness and delicious meals. Wi‑fi is weak in the rooms.

I spent a fantastic time at this lodge; the staff were incredibly welcoming and gave us spot‑on advice for the local hikes, and the dinner was especially good. We’ll be back.

The place was very pleasant, with an owner who’s extremely kind and helpful; he suggested great routes nearby and quickly organized a guide for the Shaq al Reesh trail, even preparing a simple lunch in the wild. We gained a lot about the local environment. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, and after dinner we enjoyed shisha while the owner played and sang local tunes, chatting about life in general. We learned the entire project behind the accommodation and how vital it is for the community. The Ethiopian lady who always looked after us was also nice. We could pick rooms that matched our preferences, and we highly recommend this spot.
