The location is right next to the beach. I used to go for breakfast at 0700 and then, after breakfast, go to the beach for a nice walk and also for sailing with fishermen. I went in March, so the afternoon was very hot until 1600; from 1300 to 1600 I stayed in the hotel.

The rooftop restaurant. Most things but mostly the staff were clueless

To be honest, not much, the restaurant staff were very friendly. The hotel was shabby. We paid 50€ per night, which is very expensive in Sri Lanka, for a room without a window where the air conditioner barely worked. Cleaning was half‑done. The front desk staff were not friendly, spoke very little English, and didn’t understand what we asked them. In short, a bad night in this hotel; I do not recommend it at all.

My stay at this hotel had its ups and downs. On the one hand, the staff were friendly and the view from the room was great. However, I was not impressed with the beds, which were uncomfortable, and the food, which was subpar. Overall, it was an average experience.
