The location was the best, and the place was clean and decent overall. It felt cramped and the view was poor.

Check‑in was extremely easy, thanks to staff who spoke English very well and guided us through the whole process. The hotel was very quiet and within walking distance of Kyoto station, making sightseeing a breeze. The room was very clean and cozy.

The hotel is especially well‑located, just steps from Kyoto Station, which makes access to bus and subway lines extremely simple and fast for touring the city. The neighbourhood is very quiet, yet offers many dining options and convenience stores right nearby for easy meals. However, be careful of phishing scams: the hotel’s Booking account was hacked, and ten days before my arrival I received a highly realistic phishing email posing as the hotel’s official mail, demanding a payment of 200 € or the reservation would be cancelled. The hotel itself was not directly involved, and the front desk was informed, but never pay through an external link (such as ://xalyit.com) or any email that isn’t directly from Booking.
