Riad Ocean Medina sits in a tranquil corner of Essaouira’s historic Medina, offering panoramic sea views and traditional Moroccan tadelakt décor. The property features an interior garden, cozy living room with fireplace, seven comfortable rooms and an ocean‑front suite. Guests enjoy breakfast on a three‑level terrace overlooking the bay, Essaouira port, and Mogador Island.

The staff were kind, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast was very good and plentiful. They smoked downstairs, and the cigarette smell came in through the window. I couldn’t sleep because of that.

Lovely Riad with a beautiful rooftop terrace overlooking the sea, complete with comfortable loungers for resting and reading. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast on the terrace was rich and varied. The location is quiet, tucked into a side street inside the Medina, and we’d book again immediately.

The Riad is perfect for a few relaxed days in Essaouira; the rooftop terrace is great for escaping the bustle and offers a nice view of the beach, where breakfast is served. The room isn’t the biggest, but that’s typical for Riads. The only downside was a slight moldy smell in the room.

Central location in the Medina with sea views from the terrace. There’s no parking for cars, only a public lot outside, and the place is very noisy.
