We stumbled across a citrus orchard, and the dog was friendly along with Antonella, the daughter‑in‑law. The listing was very misleading: it didn’t say you’d need a 1.5‑hour water‑taxi ride to get there, and when we arrived we were told they only accepted cash – something that should have been clear. Because of that we couldn’t claim the 21 % VAT refund for foreign tourists. The ad suggested there were recreational activities like hiking and trails, but there were none; when we asked twice if we could walk anywhere, we were told only the tiny perimeter around the hostería – “just stay here and relax” was the reply.
