The location was beautiful and peaceful with amazing mountain views, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. It’s also a great spot if you’re visiting Mount Cook. The facilities are quite basic, but overall we had a comfortable stay and there was nothing major to complain about.

The view from the room was spectacular, and the price made Mt Cook feel more attainable and encouraged us to tackle more walks. Everything matched our expectations, though the distance from Mt Cook village and the basic room design were the only drawbacks; overall it was suitable for the area, cozy, and budget‑friendly.

The staff were courteous and the location was good, but the room had no bathroom and the nearest one was 200 m away, which is uncomfortable with temperatures below zero; the bathroom was extremely cold.
