The lodge sits in a pristine natural setting and the staff are friendly and eager to help. The safari drives were top‑notch, with plenty of wildlife sightings, some up close. It’s pricey, but the value is spot on. The only downside was the sheer number of tourist vehicles in Chobe National Park, all chasing the same lions.

We booked a two‑room family suite, but on arrival they said it was already booked and offered us two single beds in one room, plus a free massage for one person—no mention of an empty second cottage. The check‑in felt humiliating. During lunch, a waiter told us to go to the manager because he was “waiting for you,” but he never came to our table. There’s no staff communication system—no WhatsApp or walkie‑talkies—so you have to go to reception for everything, even water.

I loved the whole experience. We were taken care of, the food was excellent—never felt hungry at Ghoha Hills—and the staff were fantastic and helpful. The accommodation was super comfortable, and the lodge’s location is amazing, overlooking the surroundings. We saw a lot of animals too. Nothing I didn’t like.

We were warmly welcomed at Ghoha Hills, perched on a hill with a view of Savuti. The game drives were great, guided by a wonderful guide, and the rooms were very comfortable. Everyone on staff was lovely, and the meals were delicious. We’d definitely return. The only thing was that we had the pool to ourselves because there weren’t many guests; if the lodge were full, the pool might feel a bit cramped.
