“Bath - as good as any hot spring”

Overall, the accommodation was pretty good. Plenty of space for a family of 5. Having a temperature‑controlled bath was a special treat; the water was honestly better than a few hot spring resorts we stayed at on the trip. A 10‑minute walk from Kyoto Station, with a coin laundry just down the road. A slight communication hiccup with check‑in: we were supposed to receive pre‑check‑in info three days before, but I had to chase the host to confirm the booking on the day. The host didn’t give us the pass code until we arrived—something I’ve never experienced on previous trips.

“寒かったです。”

アメニティが無印良品だったので良かった。 ドライヤーとストレートアイロンもあったので良かった。. １階は暖房つけても寒かった。 浴室暖房も弱いのか次の日になっても乾いてなかった。 倉庫？ 玄関入ってすぐ色んな物が置かれてて見た目が綺麗では無かった。

The rooms were spacious and the amenities plentiful, but I noticed dust everywhere and small bits of trash on the table, so the cleaning seemed lacking.

With just my family, we had plenty of space to unwind. Because check‑in was at 16:00, the entrance light worked but the room stayed dark and I couldn’t find the switch, so I searched in the dimness. I followed the bath guide, but it didn’t mention closing the main tap, so I accidentally left it running – a mistake I deeply regret. I was also disappointed that the bedroom had no TV, something I’d liked to watch while lying down.
