Marie is a sweetheart; the house is beautifully decorated and spotless, impressive for a building from the 1700s. Breakfast featured scrambled eggs, homemade jams (apricot was my favorite) and Marie even gave me a jar to take home, plus fresh croissants and lovely homemade cakes. The only downside for us was the location, as we’re not used to hills and the walk into the old town was a bit of a slog.
