The Ikonik Lex hotel is situated in Hospitalet de Llobregat, on the edge of Barcelona, offering stylish accommodations and easy access to the airport and city centre. Rooms feature grey tones, bright finishes, and flat-screen TVs. The hotel is close to Montjüic, the 1992 Olympic site, and Camp Nou Stadium, with city courts and Fira exhibition centre nearby.

We were moved to Cristal Hotel under the condition that the price and payment would carry over. All we had to do was pay the tourist tax. Cristal Hotel didn’t confirm, so we called and texted. Eventually a booking confirmation arrived. When we arrived, they demanded full payment and a significantly higher price. We still don’t know if Ikonik Lex has charged us. The staff at Cristal were friendly. The room was a small one next to the elevator with a tiny window in a deep niche. Nothing else.

The hotel itself was fine. The location was changed at the last minute, which made it farther from the metro station. We also found it odd and rude that this was only announced on the day of departure.

I would have left a glowing review, but we never got to stay because of ongoing construction, and they forced us to move to the exe Barcelona Gate, which looked nice but was completely out of the way, adding about an hour to reach the city centre. After that I tried contacting Ikonik Lex, but they stopped answering when I asked for a discount, even though I’d paid nearly €900 for a spot in that area.
