Everything was perfect.

We felt so good at this hotel that we extended our stay by another 11 nights. In total we stayed 23 nights, which I think says it all. We had room 12, on the ground floor with a balcony. I’m not sure who designed the room layout, but from our point of view the designer was clever and knew exactly how to use the space efficiently to maximize comfort. The beds were extremely comfortable, the wardrobe very useful, the fridge perfect, the air‑conditioning effective, the bathroom fairly large, the shower spacious. Everything was fine from all angles. We also liked that the balcony was sunny only between 10‑13, and shaded the rest of the day. There were mosquito nets on the balcony door and the bathroom window. The location is very convenient, 200 m from the beach (we most often went to the Hercules beach), 50 m from Mega Image, 50 m from the bus stop, the hotel restaurant plus two or three other restaurants are at most 30 m away. PS: From Doi Pasi we bought a laundry line for the balcony. I used it to make a “savoniera” for the shower. :) Only two small details need fixing: there is no shower “savoniera” (but I solved that personally :) ) and there were no hangers in the wardrobe.

The cleaning staff (Mr. Nepalez) was very friendly. When I booked through Booking, the photos looked good and the room seemed nice, but when I arrived the room was different. The bathroom had a sharp sewage smell that I thought had been fixed. The fridge in the room was tiny, so I couldn’t fit a 2‑liter bottle of water. The wallpaper was peeling and covered in mold. I asked for an extra bed and it was wrapped in string, and when I lay down, a piece of wood would fall out from under the bed. Breakfast was sparse; the child wanted cereal but there was only one chocolate‑flavored option. On the beach the sunbeds were broken, the mattresses were dirty and cracked, and the foam would come out of them. This location was recommended to me; I’m not usually one to give feedback, but sometimes it helps improve services.

I liked the room – simple, clean, well proportioned. The hot water was constant and the shower worked. The public areas outside the rooms on each floor were interesting, and the proximity to the beach with many market‑type shops and at least three restaurants nearby gave plenty of choices. It was a bit noisy, but it stopped at 11 pm and if you closed the window, the sound insulation was good. Breakfast was a Swedish‑style buffet, quite similar in options, but you could pick different things if you wanted variety. I found parking. The rooms didn’t have balconies (but they had large windows with grilles that you could tie something to for drying). Even though all the music stopped at 11 pm, the gym equipment remained functional and allowed use at 2 or 3 am. It wasn’t the hotel’s fault, but the loud noises at night were annoying. At 400 lei per night for a 2‑star room, it seemed a lot… not necessarily here, but compared to the idea of tourism on the Black Sea.

We were close to the sea, the beds were comfortable, in the town centre, the room had a nice smell, and the staff were friendly.
