“Prefer to stay somewhere else next time”

Airport shuttle. Being made to wait for our room. We arrived at the accommodation at 9.30am having just arrived by cruise ship. We were told we had to wait until our room was cleaned and ready. The staff said they would let us know as soon as it was available. Fair enough, however I sat in the foyer until official check in time (3pm). I was not told it was ready earlier than this time, when clearly it was ready. Staff were aware that we were checking out just 14 hours later at 5.30am as we had booked their airport shuttle. They could have prioritised our check in given we were staying for so little time. Very disappointing

Walking along the seawalk to the hotel was pleasant, and the apartment was spacious with a kitchen and laundry, and overall quiet.

The shuttle driver, who also worked the morning desk, seemed organized and genuinely cared about the hotel, but the night desk staff on our first evening appeared flustered; she handed us keys to a room that was already occupied by a long‑term guest, which left us feeling uneasy. She also ignored our request for a shuttle to the hotel, a mistake that was fixed the next day, yet her behavior made us question the rest of our stay.

“I would stay again.”

The staff were excellent and the room was spotless, but there was no water provided and the food service was lacking.
