The location is gorgeous and the staff were very helpful, making for a comfortable sleep and a truly magnificent stay. The toilets felt a bit cramped, but the room layout leaves no room for change, while the shower was simply incredible.

The traditional house was absolutely charming, with a warm welcome and helpful staff; its proximity to major bus lines lets you easily explore Kyoto and the neighborhood, which is quiet, offers lovely walks, and has plenty of small restaurants, a bar, and cafés worth visiting. It was a great stay! The only downside was that the provided hair dryer was a bit worn out, but that’s the sole negative point.
