The staff were exceptional—when heavy rain and floods made it hard to reach the desert, the camp gave us a full house to stay in for a couple of days before we could get to the camp itself. The camp was absolutely stunning, and if you plan to go to the desert, this is the only place to be; the atmosphere is gorgeous and amazing. I really recommend the camel‑riding trip—it wasn’t the usual tourist trap, we had our own guide who truly cared about the animals. Leaving was sad.

The camp is modern, well managed, very clean and has a great location over a dune overlooking sunset. It is 25-30 min drive from Bidiya so you do really feel being in the middle of the desert with red, yellow and golden sands around. The dinner was great and the person in charge of the camp was really very hospitable and helpful. We booked an Arabian tent ("deluxe double room" in ) which is different from the small houses that are mostly shown on booing.com pictures. It was a real tent with a shower and toilet attached to it. It was very interesting experience, it was spotlessly clean, spacious and the big bed was very comfortable. Unforgettable night under the stars. On of the best experiences in Oman

“Neues wunderschönes Camp mitten in der Wüste.”

The camp was brand new, having opened just a few months ago, so it felt like new. The staff were super friendly. Communication was a bit tricky; when we arrived, no one on site knew about our booking.

A tiny, fine paradise right in the desert—perfect for those seeking absolute silence and seclusion, where you can hear only your own breathing while watching the stars. Behind the camp are a few dunes you can climb to see the sunrise and sunset. From reception to departure we were taken care of and felt wonderfully at home. The food was delicious, and the desert tour the morning of our departure will stay with us for a long time. No complaints—if we return to the area we’ll book Desert Escape again.
