Fabulous Luxury Camp

We were kindly changed to Africa Luxury Camp as we would going to be the only guests for 2 nights in this camp. Africa Luxury Camps was a comfortable stay, wth a nice communal setting with a fire pit. We enjoyed our meals and thank the staff for making different food as we had two dinners. Overall it's a fun place to stay one night but nothing else. We thought calling it "luxury" was a bit of a stretch. Not good value for money. . Though the bed was perfectly done, the room and bathroom were not very clean, specially the rugs which looked like they were never washed. Only upon arriving we understood that this is designed for 1 night stays only but we has booked 2 so we were "lost" there without nothing to do for a whole day. It was very hot during the afternoon and we asked if the AC could be turned on but they refused it without explanation

“Scammy with dirty bed sheets”

The staff. I want to start by saying that the staff at this hotel are genuinely lovely, warm, kind, and always willing to help. Their attitude and hospitality were a real highlight of my stay and made a positive impression. However, I was extremely disappointed with the so-called “private transfer” service offered by the hotel. I paid €20 per person, totaling €60, under the clear expectation that this would be a private transfer. Instead, the journey involved multiple stops to pick up other guests, turning what should have been a direct and comfortable ride into a shared shuttle experience. Not only did this completely contradict what was advertised, but I was also seated at the back of the vehicle, feeling cramped and uncomfortable, surrounded by strangers. the exact opposite of what you expect when paying for a private service. It’s frustrating because transparency matters. If the transfer is shared, it should be clearly advertised as such. Charging guests for a “private” transfer and delivering something entirely different feels misleading and, frankly, unfair. While I truly appreciate the kindness of the staff, this experience left a sour note on an otherwise pleasant stay. I hope the hotel addresses this to ensure future guests aren’t misled in the same way

This desert camp exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the attention to detail and excellent organization. The camp is spotless, peaceful, and perfect for unwinding and taking in the breathtaking natural beauty. The dinner was a highlight, with a delicious spread of dishes and a magical evening atmosphere complete with traditional music. And sleeping under the stars in the heart of the desert is an experience that's hard to put into words.
