The spot is great, with beautiful stone cottages that have plenty of amenities. The road to the property is rough, but that only matters if you have a low‑clearance vehicle.

The accommodation is really nice, very quiet and peaceful. From the moment we booked until after our stay, Angela was incredibly helpful with everything. We would definitely recommend it and would return. The road to get there is rough.

The views are lovely and we did a four‑hour walk. The scenery is good. The cottage is basic but perfect for outdoor lovers. To make the stay easier, bring your own spices because none were provided. We walked the trails, and clearer walking distances would have been appreciated.

Woolly Bugger is a fantastic place to unwind. The views are gorgeous, the accommodation is clean, well‑equipped, and comfortable. We appreciated the unlimited wood supply for the fireplace and boma. Several well‑described and marked hiking trails and viewpoints are reachable by car. The 27 km dirt road from Dullstroom takes about 45 minutes to drive, so it’s not something you’d want to do every day. Nearby gems in Tonteldoos—like the Cheese tasting, Donkey Deli, and Cat & Cow—add variety to the day.
