“A nightmare of Punjabi people”
The location outside Astore was peaceful and the room was decent, after all. I had an upstairs room with a balcony but wasn’t given a padlock when I asked, because the staff were busy with some Pakistani tourists. I went down to the bazaar for dinner, and when I returned all my belongings had been removed from my room, which had been handed over to a Pakistani woman with a child—part of that Pakistani family. I was shocked by those ill‑mannered people and immediately demanded my room back, which took a while. At 11 pm a man knocked on my door while I was asleep. They all kept talking loudly outside until 1 am.
