The bathroom was surprisingly spacious and the electric shower worked well. But the towels smelled bad, had yellow stains, and the cleaning was spotty—only every third day—so for the 560 reais for two nights it felt overcharged. There was no breakfast, the common areas were dim, stray dogs lounged on the sofas, the pool looked cloudy, and the receptionist even threatened to cut power if we left the AC on, all while the reception area smelled of cigarettes.
