“Déplorable pour la somme versée .”

The photos on your site don’t match the description. The access is like a mid‑mountain trail: the main entrance is via a steep, rocky, grassy path, and the room is reached by a staircase without a handrail (84 years old). The toilet and shower are at the bottom of the stairs, not in the room. Faced with this, we left immediately, so no breakfast to describe. The whole service feels dated, as if the host once had staff but now, because of her age, she can’t properly accommodate guests.

“Sehr empfehlenswert”

In the tower room we enjoyed a wonderful view of the Loire. The furnishings were classic French. Breakfast, with a variety of homemade jams, was outstanding. The host was extremely warm.

“Phantastisch und passend zu den Schlössern der Umgebung”

Madame Brigitte and Petit Louis 🐈!!! The villa, its location, the parking in the enclosed courtyard, the antiques, the stories at breakfast, the creaking floorboards, the time‑travel feeling, the provision of a classic picnic basket with everything, plus silver salt and pepper shakers to enjoy the brought dinner in the on‑site park with a great seating area, breakfast with 10 exquisite preserves, crêpes, pancakes, croissants, nut rolls, café au lait in large silver cups, and more, and the trust placed in us (keys, gate opener…) – anyone who gets upset over (few) cobwebs has no home??!! The Wi‑Fi was down, but it was an ISP issue! Note: check‑in is only at 5 pm, which I missed, but it wasn’t a real problem since it was already after 4 pm.

Excellent stay; we were very well received by the owner. The house is beautiful and quiet. We really enjoyed the refined breakfast, served in beautiful dishes, while chatting with the owner who took great care of us. We recommend staying at Manoir de Montecler and thank the owner for her hospitality!

“In eine andere Zeit versetzt”

The entire building was furnished with antiques, giving the vibe of a castle. My room sat on the top floor and was stylishly decorated, and the bed was so comfortable that we slept soundly. The breakfast table was thoughtfully set, offering a wide selection of honey and jam. The host was very attentive to our needs, but the bathroom was a floor below, only reachable by a narrow staircase.
