The beautiful location in a very attractive village overlooking the river, bridge, and village green, and the lovely old building were highlights, but the welcome was rather cold, we waited outside until 4 pm even though the website said open from midday, the room was set up as a double instead of a twin as agreed, a generator in the front of the house hummed most of the night, and we both really disliked the evening meal—a great disappointment.

The setting is gorgeous, the owners are delightful, breakfast was excellent, and the pub had a charming vibe.

Our hosts were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Number 1 bedroom had vaulted ceiling in bathroom and anti room which was very inconvenient for tall people

The location was great, the breakfast and evening meal were lovely, and the area is perfect for walking; the free car park was a big plus, though the room felt a bit small, the bathroom was still great.
