Hotel Perla Suite Santa Marta

A very nice room with a terrace jacuzzi on the 5th floor. The location isn’t in a very safe neighborhood.

“The cons outweigh the pros.”

The staff was nice and helpful, and the hotel sits just 6 minutes on foot from the Tayrona bus station in Santa Marta. The jacuzzi was broken, the street where the hotel is on feels sketchy and quite noisy because a nearby store blasts music, the pillows were uncomfortable, the sheets and comforter were too small for the bed (they looked like single‑bed sheets folded sideways on a full bed), and there was debris on the pillows and floor.

The staff were friendly overall and the service was first‑rate, though the common areas could benefit from a little more ventilation.

“El hotel tiene margen de mejora.”

I appreciated the staff’s friendliness, the room’s comfort, and the hotel’s convenient location. I wasn’t satisfied having to put a towel on the bathroom door to catch water leaking into the room, and the breakfast selection was lacking variety and stayed the same. There’s room for improvement in those areas.
