Everything liked, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed, clean, rooms are warm, the trekking route starts across the street, the route to Fitz Roy is literally a 15‑minute walk, all excellent; everything liked, I recommend.

The owners were really friendly and the kitchen was well equipped, and overall nothing was wrong.

The place is right at the trailhead for the Torre hike, which was great for getting out early. Unfortunately the actual hostel was closed for renovations – something that wasn’t mentioned when I booked – and they put us in a small holiday‑style cabin with two other guests. The beds were fine and the shower was just basic, but it didn’t feel like a hostel at all. It sits on the edge of the village, so everything feels a ten‑minute walk away.

It’s tucked away from the town centre, yet only a short stroll to the park entrance, which made getting into the trails easy without the downtown noise.

The rooms are perfectly placed at the beginning of the trekking routes, and the staff are genuinely friendly. The apartment itself was clean and well stocked, though I could hear a lot of noise from the street. Prices are steep, but that seems to be the norm in El Chaltén.
