The beaches were nice, but there was a kitchen that didn't allow cooking, and the guests there charged more than the price listed on Booking.

The property boasts a huge garden that opens straight onto the beach, and the host Nuwan is incredibly friendly along with Chita the dog; I would 100% recommend this spot because it’s just a 10‑minute tuk‑tuk ride to Hikkaduwa, where you can find great eateries, the place is immaculate, and breakfast is delicious!

The staff were polite, breakfast was tasty, there were two sweet dogs, and the beach was easy to reach with hammocks for relaxing; however, paint was peeling from the walls in both the private room and the girls’ dorm, which was quite unpleasant—despite being a hostel, proper upkeep is expected so guests can stay in a clean, well‑kept environment; the AC can only be used from 7 pm to 7 am, and an extra fee is required for full‑day use.

I stayed at Tipsy Ceylon for one night and really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. It's a perfect spot if you're looking for a quiet and calm place by the sea. There's a nice restaurant right next to it, and they prepared a delicious breakfast for me in the morning. The hosts were lovely, and they have two adorable dogs that made the place feel even more welcoming. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to relax and unwind in a serene setting

It’s a very good property with private beach access, though swimming is discouraged because the waves are dangerous; there are also two adorable pets. 🥰🥰🥰
