“Nice stay at Hilton Garden Inn Albuquerque Downtown”

The front desk staff were extremely helpful with directions, and the security guard kindly lent me his umbrella when I had to dash to my car during a downpour. The parking garage was secure, and my room was spacious and spotless, as were the common areas. The only downside was that, despite being in "Albuquerque downtown," there was essentially nothing to see or do nearby.

The bed was very comfortable and the room itself was nice. The real issue was that when we were checking out, the manager attempted to impose an extra $12 parking fee on the couple in front of us, then tried to do the same to us. Neither the couple nor we parked in the garage, yet the charge was added. We had been told the cost of our stay included all charges and fees, and no mention was made of parking or the $12 fee when we checked in.

“Hidden Fees, $75 pet fee”

The hotel was clean, the staff friendly, and the building itself was beautiful. However, the pet fee of $75 was steep compared to the typical $15–$25 range, and the front desk woman never mentioned that a parking pass would cost an additional $12. Our $111 booking ballooned to over $210 once all the unadvertised fees were added.
