We drove in from Taiwan and appreciated the free parking the hotel offered; it’s situated fairly close to the Qian Guang Temple cable car station, which was convenient. On Wednesdays and Thursdays many shops on the Onomichi shopping street were closed (that’s not the hotel’s fault).

The room was spotless and tastefully decorated, and both the meals and the staff’s service impressed us. The view from the rooftop terrace was fantastic, and my daughter loved the all‑you‑can‑eat soft‑serve ice cream. The downside was that there was no convenience store nearby and no vending machines, so we couldn’t buy a cold drink. Also, the parking lot was a short walk from the hotel, which made lugging our luggage a bit of a hassle.

The location was great, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was good. The rooftop was a nice spot to have coffee in the morning, and having a laundry on site was great. The breakfast lacked variety.
