The check‑in is flexible, the place sits in a quiet spot, and it offers all the comforts needed for a pleasant stay. The air‑conditioner thermostat is located outside the room and is shared across all rooms; we were alone so we removed it, but it could be inconvenient if more guests are present.

The staff are very friendly and pleasant, the waiters are super sweet, the cleaners are lovely, and the toast at breakfast is amazing.

Everything is spotless and the staff are excellent: Laura at reception, the owner is very cordial, the café guys, and the cleaning lady—everything is great, plus the location and parking are fantastic. The only downside was that the water vending machine didn’t accept coins, so I ran out of water in the middle of the night, haha.

I didn’t have breakfast, but I did eat and liked the menu; the location is suitable because Arjona gets very hot in summer, yet the area has breezes that lower the temperature noticeably. The second night, I wasn’t told that a security device had been added to the hostel’s entrance door, an issue that didn’t happen the first night. I had to leave the room at 8:10 to catch a bus at 8:30. I arrived at the hostel at 3:55 and couldn’t access it until 6:05 when other guests were leaving. In short, I only slept an hour and a quarter, which made my day bad. The information chain about the new security device at the accommodation entrance failed.

There’s no breakfast, and at least a bit of shower soap would be nice.
