Their hospitality was extremely good, and because it was our anniversary they upgraded us for free; Tom Dong greeted us warmly. Nothing was wrong at all, the place is a 10/10.

Extremely dirty—cups and glasses in the room were all oily, there was loads of dust, and it looked like the rooms hadn’t been cleaned in centuries. On the terrace we stepped on a dead mouse that had dried in the sun, meaning it had been there for weeks. The pool was not working. The food was horrendous, both the western dishes and the won tons and noodles were terrible. Breakfast was the worst we’ve ever had; everything looked very dirty and it was unpleasant to touch anything at breakfast. The staff didn’t speak a single word of English, and their uniforms were all dirty and oily. This is no 5‑star hotel, not even close—at best it would be 2 stars, but even that feels generous. A big mistake to go there.

Everything was perfect: the staff were very kind, the room was large and clean, everything was well cared for, the hall was beautiful, and breakfast was good.
