The Showa feel was nice. A cockroach appeared in the room, so I couldn’t enjoy it. Also, there is no traditional switch inside the room, so the door has to be opened. Additionally, everything is in a sitting position, so having a folding chair would have been nice.

The price was reasonable, but unless you drive there are no shops around, so you have to use public transport to reach the main nearby station.

“Very basic but caracterfull place”

There’s a small restaurant next to the ryokan run by a charming lady, but the photos of the rooms don’t match reality; the room advertises a shared bath, so we expected a communal onsen‑style tub, yet the toilet is also shared with almost no privacy. The manager was overwhelmed by the crowd and couldn’t keep things under control, and the rooms were very noisy.

“Place was a bit spooky at night, but I slept well.”

The staff were very friendly, the rooms were affordable, and the beds were comfortable. It’s about a ten‑minute walk from the train station. Personally, I kept feeling like I might be whisked away in the middle of the night 😭🤣.
