Super location, with secure parking for our motorcycle. The host was very willing to accommodate all our requests. Breakfast was excellent. Overall we had a very good impression of the accommodation. The hot water didn’t work, but we managed to shower in the summer/cooler water.

Great value for money. The hosts were super responsive and helpful with advice and arranging transport. The place was very clean and spacious, and the breakfast was delicious. No Wi‑Fi or hot water. The property has two locations, so check which one you’re staying in before. Area 25 is a bit challenging in terms of food or sights.

The manager and staff are very helpful and welcoming. Their rooms come with a proper mosquito net, the facilities are clean, and it’s overall very good value for money. They even installed a battery‑powered light, so you won’t sit in the dark during one of Lilongwe’s frequent blackouts. Area 25 has little to attract tourists. Its main selling point is arguably its proximity to the airport, which is only a roughly 30‑minute drive away. The Avon Gardens staff can organize a taxi for you, priced around $15 (motorbike) / $25 (car).
