Everything was fine overall, and the room’s evening meal and breakfast were satisfactory. The bedroom had very few power outlets, and the windows wouldn’t stay open by themselves. When I went to the bathroom at night, the cold tap ran warm water, and there was no cold water at all.

Clean and comfortable, excellent evening meal. Unable to provide sandwiches or equivalent at 6.30 pm, we had to go to the local filling station to buy some food and did not require a full evening meal

The location is great, just a short walk from my workplace in Eldersfield. The owner mentioned that they’re doing a lot of refurbishment, which is encouraging, but the room I stayed in was very dated and I think I got a discounted rate because of that. The place was clean and pleasant enough for a single night, and I’d still suggest it to colleagues for the convenience, but I’d recommend Hatherley Manir to friends instead.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of seating, coffee, tea, biscuits, and a large, cozy bed. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful; we had a couple of issues that were resolved immediately and politely. Dinner was excellent in both quality and price, and the breakfast met all our needs. We enjoyed a lovely two‑night stay in October.

After a long, exhausting day, I arrived at the hotel and was shown to a room that smelled strongly of sewage. I spoke with reception around 7 pm, but they offered no alternative and left me in the lounge. I asked for help and no one, not even the manager, came to speak with me. The hotel was fully booked, so I drove a long way home, tired and hungry. The staff and management were utterly unhelpful and let me down completely.
